Make sure that customers can find you. Optimize your web
site for search engines to read your site and submit to search engines
and directories.
General Considerations: Search engine marketing is
not an exact science and do es not guarantee results for every submission.
However, we do communicate with complete reporting, third-party backing
information and references for each step that we perform in marketing
our client's sites to prove we follow the standard for effective internet
search engine placement marketing. Either the search engines themselves
or the clients unwillingness to follow their rules are usually the un-cooperating
element that we have no control over.
The client's design of their web page and site will have a strong bearing
on our marketing success with the methods we use and will need access
to the website and may need to put additional time into re-wording or
redesigning pages.
Cost: We have been starting with $525.00 initiation
packages and involves 15 hours of work at approximately $35.00/hr. This
basically covers concentrating on one target set of keywords or phrase
for each of the major search engines, establishing directory listings
in relevant websites to the client's for reciprocal links, and submission
to over 300 free-for-all links pages. The free-for-all, directory and
reciprocal links pages are not necessarily traffic drawers in themselves,
but the more links to your site across the internet the better listing
you get in the major search engines due to link popularity.
Additional Information: Results sometimes don't show
for up to six months, depending on the indexing updates by particular
search engines. Also, Yahoo, LookSmart, Excite, Alta Vista and MSN are
all requiring a payment to be made for a listing for commercial sites.
Yahoo now requires a one-time $299.00 charge for directory listings
within their site and the LookSmart network also now requires $199.00
for a listing however they share their database with the other three
majors - Excite, Altavista and MSN. These charges are apart from our
$750.00 fee.
Depending on your ambitions, we recommend what is suggested above at
a minimum and would typically suggest investing up to $2000.00 total
for the first year towards marketing your site effectively. We can safely
say it will be the most effective advertising expenditure you will make,
regardless of whatever else you do to market your site.
Don't Be Fooled!
Many products or services claim to submit you to 100's or even 1000's
of sites. What they don't tell you is that most of those sites have
no other purpose than to collect e-mail addresses from Web marketers
so they can flood your inbox with spam mail.
It's the top engines for each country that generates over 95% of the
search engine traffic. Therefore, the KEY to gaining traffic to your
site is not how many no-name engines you submit to, but having the best
tools possible for achieving high rankings in the major engines. This
what we are trying to achieve for you.
